1. Install the “Xiaomi AI” app on your phone.
You can search “Xiaomi AI” in the App Store or Google Play store, or scan QR code on the user manual or the sticker on the Xiaomi AI speaker. Note: there is a control panel of the speaker under the label; you should remove the sticker when using.
Then choose the Android or iOS version for your phone and install the app.
2. Connect the Speaker to the Power Source.
The Xiaomi AI Bluetooth speaker is pack with a power adapter (100 – 240V input, 12V output), so connect it to the wall socket or power source.
3. Entering Configuration Mode Settings.
Anytime the indicator light becomes orange (indicator lights: pink – disable the microphone, orange – configuration mode, not connected to the WiFi or Bluetooth, Red – system error) after connecting the speaker to the power source. The Xiaomi AI speaker will automatically boot to configuration mode.
Suppose the indicator light isn’t an orange color:
● Suppose you have already paired this Mi AI Bluetooth speaker using Mi AI app: long-press the CH button for about 5 seconds until you hear a sound “已进入配置模式” (the speaker has entered configuration mode), the indicator light becomes orange. You can set WIFI at the app: profile – WIFI setting.
● If the speaker is new to you: Press and hold “Next and Previous Buttons” at the same time for about 5 seconds, then you will hear a sound saying “即将恢复出厂设置” (the speaker will be reset to factory default).
4. Search your Xiaomi AI speaker Name.
Firstly, open the Bluetooth on your phone and launch the Mi AI speaker app. Log in the app with your Xiaomi account; then the app will find the Mi AI speaker – the name is “小米AI 音箱-XXXX” (XXXX is the last four unique numbers of the AI speaker’s serial number).
5. Connect the AI speaker to WiFi.
Then, click the Next button (“继续“) to connect your Bluetooth Speaker to WiFi. Input the WiFi password, click Next, and wait for a few seconds; your AI Bluetooth speaker will be connected to WiFi Network successfully.
If Fail To Connect The Ai Bluetooth Speaker: Then try the below methods:
- Move the Mi AI speaker close to the router or MiFi.
- Then verify if your phone’s system meets the requirement – like the Mi AI speaker is currently running with Android 4.4 or above / iOS 9.0 or above.
- Close the Bluetooth of your phone, restart your smartphone, and then try the connection again.
- If your device is iPhone and has paired already with the speaker via Bluetooth, click “Ignore the device” at System setting – Bluetooth – click the blue exclamation mark on the right side of your iPhone.
- Verify whether the WiFi has internet access.
- Make sure the WiFi isn’t enterprise or public WiFi because the speaker does not support enterprise or public WiFi at the moment.
- Restart your Mi AI Bluetooth speaker and your phone’s Bluetooth to try connecting again.
6. Personal settings.
After setting the WiFi successfully, you can select your favorite songs to play, or videos etc. though, you can click Skip (“跳过“) form Ai App to do the settings later in your own leisure time.
Finally, you can use the Xiaomi Mi AI Bluetooth speaker to play music, listen to the news, control other Xiaomi products, and so on.
